Claims Representative
Summary: The Claims Representative position is responsible for determining compensability and/or coverage issues for Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation claims by an timely, through and comprehensive investigation of all issues. Representatives are required to manage claims by determining a plan of action to bring each claim to a timely and satisfactory resolution for all parties. Communication with all involved parties throughout the life of the claim is critical to this process. This position requires daily contact with the insureds, claimants, the assigned Loss Prevention Consultant, and medical providers. In the event a claim is litigated, the Claims Representative is required to coordinate an action plan with our legal counsel and to attend the hearings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct a thorough investigation of all assigned claims to determine compensability
- Effective communication with all parties both internal and external to Synergy Comp
- Complete and accurate documentation of all claim activity and communication
- Aggressively manage claims for timely and satisfactory resolution
- Accurate reserving of claims
- Hearing Attendance
The ideal candidate has a college degree or equivalent experience, excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as basic computer skills. Candidates should possess the ability to problem solve and make effective decisions.
